Is there any way to do a search for a random dead show on archive.org?

I meant "is there a way to search for a RANDOM show", like 'pick a show at random'...

Go to GD collection page link below.

http://www.archive.org/details/GratefulDead#forum

Once there enter the year of your show.

Once there sort by date.

Scroll thru and pick your show.

I have had ZERO luck entering the show date(i.e. 1976-06-15). That doesn't seem to work anymore.

Go to "Advanced Search": http://www.archive.org/advancedsearch.php

Select "GratefulDead" for "Collection" and then select "1976", "06" and "15" for "Date". Hit the "Search" button and receive 3 hits...

If you're searching for a song, use the "Description" field, that's where setlists end up. Watch out for stuff like "Not Fade Away" vs. "NFA"...

Hi Kschneid - Thanks for the input. 1 question, do I actually use quote marks for my search criteria? Should my request look like this...

Once on GD collection page and searching GD,

"1976" "06" "15"

Is this correct? Because that does not work from my end...

Those directions are for the Advanced Search page:

http://www.archive.org/advancedsearch.php

When you look at the form on that page, hopefully it'll be clear what to do with the values I provided...

Thank you for the reply. I's a bit dense sometimes I guess. ADVANCED SEARCH, got it.

This helps tremendously!
